“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” (1 Pet 1:3).
Jesus Christ, my Living Hope
He may be The Desire of All Nations;” but Jesus is the true desire of my heart. He may be “the God of Ages”, but He is the God of all my ages. Every year, Jesus is here. Every day; I hear Jesus say:
My cross has spoken; you are forgiven. And now you may rightly take up your cross, and forgive your fellow man. The holy morning that sealed the promise, is the holy morning of your joy, after the dark night of your soul. (Psalms 30:5)
Is there any reason why this lively hope should not give us as much confidence and joy at this time as it gave the disciples in the early church? Christ is not enclosed in Joseph’s new tomb. He is risen, and has ascended up on high, and we are to act out our faith, that the world may see that we have a lively hope.
Have you been to the morning where His broken body, rose from the grave, to give you Light? (John 11:25)
