Climatocracy Morphs To Covidtocracy?

The Bible has always been more up to date than next week’s news. Bible prophecy talks about end time events as similar to the “pangs” of childbirth. The contractions incrementally increase, both in frequency, and in level of pain. This is one of the reasons I have said before that “history repeats itself.” Mat 24:8 and other texts simply explain how this repeating takes place:

“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” (Mat 24:7 KJV)”All these are the beginning of birth pains.” (Mat 24:8, NIV)

If anyone has been watching world events, inasmuch as the average citizen is usually able to, one could see some disturbing new trends developing over recent years. For a number of years, radicalized climate NGOs have been trying to instigate a “WW2 state of emergency;” and there has even been a “climate psychologist” sporting herself as “helping people to convert/transform [themselves] rather than panic” for said “emergency.” It looks like this effort to draw the general public into a literal panic mode has been largely unsuccessful. At least, for “climate change.”

Conspiracy pundits are now saying, yet another method is well-underway. “Welcome To The New Covidtocracy” is the cry. I am not sure thats a good way to look at it. While it does look like history is incrementally repeating itself, and each time it does, the resulting measures are more draconian, and choices are thrown right out the window. Even questions may soon be “not allowed.” People are going to jail in some countries for “spreading false information about the virus.” BUT to be clear, this is not a virus denier post, in any way, shape, or form. We have no choice but to obey civil authorities when it comes to serious threats to our health. We are not scientists, for the most part.

Its actually not very smart, at all, to draw too much similarity between “climate change” and the “covid-19” threat. There certainly are some striking parallels to “the climate emergency” and the covid-19 emergency. In both cases, transnational responses, that are trickling down to national responses, inching ever-closer to martial law, are ostensibly being proffered as the needed panacea to “keep us safe.” Soon, if things continue in the present pattern, there will be no more room at the Inn for democracy. All orders for “the covid-19 emergency” will be coming from the top on down. (from a global authority).

The main similarity between Climate Crises and Covid-19 crises are that they are both situations of deep uncertainty. But to draw further conclusions, may not be in our best interest, nor would it be accurate.

Some pointed differences are:

1) The “climate emergency” is underpinned by a much longer timespan over which the emergency MIGHT occur.

2) Whereas the covid-19 threat is much more immediate and extreme cautions are needed immediately to save lives. The climate doesn’t feel as urgent to people, because the “tipping point” is [allegedly] years away whereas covid-19 is here now. Lives have been lost and more will be very soon. And most of that will be from either panic or just not listening to instructions by authorities to keep people from spreading the covid-19 virus to others.

I have found myself wondering why such measures now, when every year, far more than the model-projected covid-19 fatalities we can expect, 10-30,000 is last number I saw) we see approximately half a million people, world-wide die of “seasonal flu.” My question has been why don’t we do this quarantine and other measures every year, because of that threat? And the corona family of viruses are not actually “new” as they were first talked about as long ago as the 1930’s, yes, some reports say since the early 1960s. Im sure there is an explanation here, but the inconsistency is obvious. I think that its called “covid-19” because this particular strain of the corona family of viruses has just been recently discovered.

What this all means though is that for years, health-care professionals have been warning us that something like covid-19 would sooner or later happen, and that the current health care systems would in fact be over-whelmed by the urgent needs of so many people all at once. So, looking forward, why cant we start thinking about how the annual “seasonal flu” can be responded to much better? Right now, people, for the most part are quite under-whelmed but as the full effects of the covid-19 virus hits the economy, or takes the lives of loved ones; people are going to have to start thinking ahead on this, and start now to live healthier. And teach others how to do so as well. The churches have been largely silent on this essential point. No one wants to see the necessity of living healthier lives, because “Oh my, look at all that nicely packaged stuff on the shelves!”

Jesus wants us to be healthy; and to teach others to do the same. The Health Message is “the right arm of the gospel message;” (*1) and there’s no time like the present to begin with this message and its practice.

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (3 John 1:2, KJV)

In some countries, even their governments are being shut down. This is an unprecedented development, never before seen in recorded history, as a response to international emergency. Now the trampling on democracy can certainly be traced to well-previous to the covid-19 crises. But will this crises be used to make further inroads on basic democratic rights & freedoms? Ill defer judgment on that to others, as this post is just asking questions, based upon observations that anyone can make.

The prophecy here is that the current virus threat will eventually fade, as it seems already to have done in China’s Wuhan area. Today’s “news” reports as a first, no new deaths for the past 24 hours. But will democracy survive this world-wide event? Are we now witnessing the demise of democracy?

We can note that even America is talking about “wartime measures,” to fight covid-19.

Trump Puts US On War Footing To Combat Covid-19. “Describing himself as a “wartime president”, President Donald Trump has vowed the US will achieve “total victory” over the coronavirus. He spoke as he revived a Korean War-era measure allowing the US to ramp up production of vital medical supplies.”

Now this, in and of itself seems like a very good way to handle any response to a viral threat which affects everyone. The only question I am really asking here is where might this all be headed? The one thing that is coming through as very consistent, is the word “emergency.” What will the next emergency be used for? What will this one be used for?  It would be irresponsible to not also ask about how to retain those “checks and balances” that our current governments are supposed to be based upon; for any response to any emergency.

Now BBC, (from above quote) you will remember, are the ones behind Greta Inc, and much of the more radical proposals being touted ostensibly to “meet the [climate] emergency.” They have published before about the “needed WW2 response” to the climate emergency.” But apparently, according to the BBC Trump is sporting himself today as “A Wartime President.” So something is catching on here.

One of the best videos I know of that explains covid-19 with a calm , well reasoned scientific voice is here:

“As the coronavirus continues to impact society on a number of fronts, KARE 11’s Kent Erdahl sits down with Michael Osterholm, Director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the U of M. Osterholm has been warning of pandemics like the Coronavirus for years, and predicted its recent spread and strain on the healthcare system. In this extended conversation, Erdahl and Osterholm discuss how the virus spreads, the current public health measures being used to tackle it and how to combat fear surrounding it with useful information.”

One of the things Adventists have taught for many years now are “The Eight Laws Of Health.”

Currently, the church seems totally underwhelmed with this “right arm to the gospel message.” (*1)

As a Church; let us start to take the health message seriously, for these very serious times that we live in. We really dont need any conspiracy theories; we just need solutions. Even the professed “climate psychologist” is saying that by PERSONALLY doing something about a solution, we will be less afraid. Or not afraid, at all.

One of those eight laws of health are “TRUST IN GOD,” and when I see all the panic happening around us I cant help but think, how seriously we have “violated” this principle, in not even having ourselves so that we could share it with family, friends, or neighbors when we really need it most. I have oft-wondered why this “Trust In God” principle is at the bottom of the list for those eight laws of health.

VIII. TRUST IN GOD

“Gratitude, rejoicing, benevolence, trust in God ‘s love and care — these are health’s greatest safeguards.” My Life Today, pg. 151. (Ellen White).

Science has proven now, that people who trust in God , and have faith, come through illnesses and surgeries better than those who do not trust in God.

If you would like to learn “HOW” to trust in God , there is a booklet called “Steps to Christ” you can download for free here.

(*1) ” Right Arm of the Message

“Again and again I have been instructed that the medical missionary work is to bear the same relation to the work of the third angel’s message that the arm and hand bear to the body. Under the direction of the divine Head they are to work unitedly in preparing the way for the coming of Christ. The right arm of the body of truth is to be constantly active, constantly at work, and God will strengthen it. But it is not to be made the body. At the same time the body is not to say to the arm, “I have no need of thee.” The body has need of the arm in order to do active, aggressive work. Both have their appointed work, and each will suffer great loss if worked independently of the other.” –Testimonies, vol. 6, p. 288.
