The Loud Cry Part Three: The Hand Of God

Reading Time: 9 minutes

And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshippers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name. Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. (Rev 14:9-12)

In Revelation 14:6-12, there are three angels involved in giving ONE MESSAGE. It is a message from three angels, but not three separate messages. Its one message given, in part, by three angels.

Each of the portions of this message given by the three angels are cumulative, that is, one does not cease when another angel introduces their part of the one, whole message. Consequently, for a very brief time the first message was the only message going forth. This part of the message from the three angels was given with “a LOUD voice.” (Rev 14:6-7).

The second angel gave their part of the one, whole message, yet that did not put an end to the first angel’s portion. At this time, there were two angels, each giving their part of the one, whole message. This portion of the one, whole message was NOT given with “a loud voice.” (Rev 14:7)

The third angel followed the other two angels in quick succession,, not to supersede them, but only to join with them, “as one man” (Judges 20:1, 11) so that we now have three angels giving one whole, complete message. The third angel, did speak with “a loud voice.” (Rev 14:9).

Heaven Begins On Earth

This astounding, threefold message, embracing the truths of all three angels, and involving the entire world, past, present, and future, were/are/will be a culmination of the Holy Spirit speaking EXPRESSLY “in the latter days,” (1 Tim 4:1). The message from the three angels is a complete revelation of God’s character, summed up to reflect the times of the end that our beleaguered world is now embroiled in. Until the work is done, until the hand of God leads the last soul to their last mountain; (Isa 40:9) [the loud cry in OT days], it will never cease to be true that the hour of God’s judgment has come, nor that Babylon has fallen. We don’t need “History” books to figure this out for we have THE “HIS-STORY” Book with us, and in our heart. The community of facts within this amazing “end times” message, builds that world of trust and security that we can safely call Heaven. Even a long time ago, when I was a Hippie, I used to have a sign on the door of my house that said “heaven begins on earth…” Little did I know back then just how true that would turn out to be. (Deut 30:19, Psalms 69:34,Mat 6:10, Mark 13:27, Rev 21:1-4).

Sad to say, there are people today who prefer to dwell on the most negative aspects of the message from the three angels. They prefer to lift out of context, to over-emphasize the scary, horrible parts, and to lift them completely out of the author’s intentions, separating them from the rest of the passage in ways that the Bible text never does. Those who do this are guilty of promoting the exact same F.E.A.R. (false evidence appearing real), as the very worldly Big media and all of its many adherents constantly bombard us with. And people just believe it now “because its on the internet.”
When the world sees in cases like this that there is no difference between the world and the church, (Ezekiel 22:26, Acts 15:9), then of course they have no incentive to join up with “the sons and daughters of God. (John 1:12, Acts 2:17).

Those Who Impose The Mark Of The Beast Won’t Be Able To Buy Or Sell Either

As we see in this message from the three angels, well, yes, there is a terrible time of trouble set before us. We are very likely entering it now. Those who worship the beast, accept his mark, and operate according to his world economic system (Rev 18:11), will ultimately face God’s judgment. Our world values money, power, and personal rights and pleasures over God’s leadership. To get what the world values, many people deny God and violate Christian/Biblical principles of scripture. Thus, they must drink of the wine of God’s anger (see Psalm 75; Isa 51:17, Rev 14:10).

And many of us love to expound upon this tragic part of the message, even when it is not true that that part of the message is supposed to have the “loud voice” part to it. (see Rev 14:8, no “loud voice” there!).

Oh how some of us love to expound, with great imagination, all of the wonder-working powers of “the beast,” (Rev 14:8), [the one part of the message not given with a loud voice]. Yet Rev 18:11 reflects another part of the warning message that is largely ignored by Christians today. While it is true that this “mark of the beast” spectre hangs over the world’s [collective] head, it is equally true that while God’s people will not be able to “buy or sell” unless we have this “mark” neither will the side imposing this mark be able to buy or sell, once they have imposed said mark universally, or, internationally!

And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buys their merchandise any more:  (Rev 18:11)The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, (Rev 18:15)

Now when was the last time you heard that line in your church?

The Old Testament Parallels Give Same Warning Message

“The everlasting gospel,” (Rev 14:1,2) as we have been discussing, is one whole, complete message, and is also contained as a complete message prototype, if you will, in the Old Testament:

Now it came to pass…as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God. (Ezekiel 1:1)The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest…and the hand of the LORD was there upon him. (Ezekiel 1:3)

Conscience Can Be A Liar

We may be thankful that God still speaks to His people “EXPRESSLY,” and that The Holy Spirit speaks EXPRESSLY to God’s people today:1 Tim 4:1  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 1 Tim 4:2  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Some people today are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Frenetically bemoaning about “the vaccine mandates,” and making it a “matter of conscience” and even in some cases, turning it into a “mark of the beast” thing. But 1 Tim 4:2 is clear, our conscience can be “seared” yet we will call it “truth.” Our conscience can lie to us!

The only “truth” for God’s people are those contained in God’s Word. Jesus said “people cannot live by bread alone; but by EVERY word that comes from God…” (Mat 4;4) . Do you want to know for sure if your heart is right with God? Then, go to God’s Word to get the straight goods!

For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Heb 4:12 AMP)

The Word of God is not simply a collection of words from God, a vehicle for communicating ideas; it is living, life-changing, and dynamic as it works in us. With the incisiveness of a surgeon’s knife, God’s Word reveals who we are and what we are not. It penetrates the core of our moral and spiritual life. It discerns what is within us, both good and evil. The demands of God’s Word require decisions. We must not only listen to the Word; we must also let it shape our lives. (2 Cor 5:17, Rom 12:2).

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. (Rom 12:2 AMP)

And it is in verity, this changing that will form the loudest cry during the “time of the end.” Truly, it is the love of Christ, the love of THE Christ on the cross, that will literally move the world.

“But now [at this very moment] in Christ Jesus you who once were [so very] far away [from God] have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” (Eph 2:13, AMP)

Pious Jews considered all non-Jews (Gentiles) ceremonially unclean. They thought of themselves as pure and clean because of their national heritage and religious ceremonies. Paul pointed out that Jews and Gentiles alike were unclean before God and needed to be cleansed by Christ. In order to realize how great a gift salvation is, we need to remember our former natural, unclean condition. Have you ever felt separate, excluded, hopeless? These verses are for you. No one is alienated from Christ’s love or from the body of believers. Jews and Gentiles alike could be guilty of spiritual pride—Jews for thinking their faith and traditions elevated them above everyone else, Gentiles for trusting in their achievements, power, or position. Spiritual pride blinds us to our own faults and magnifies the faults of others. Be careful not to become proud of your salvation. Instead, humbly thank God for what he has done, and encourage others who might be struggling in their faith. (taken from Life Application Study Notes).

The Great Commission In The Old Testament

As we see in Ezekiel 1, God’s special calling and His Great Commission of the priest Ezekiel, to a prophetic ministry, (Ezekiel 1:1,3) like the message from the three angels to John, and then to the world at large, is set forth in three distinct stages:

1/ a special revelation of God’s character through a vision (Ezekiel 1:1-28)

2/ a description of the chosen audience concluding said vision (Ezekiel 2:1-3:15)

3/ an explanation of God’s charge and challenge in giving The Old Testament Great Commission to the prophet Ezekiel. (Ezekiel 3:16-27)

The very existence of this great commission in the Old Testament completely shatters the myths we keep hearing about “the first church,” or “the early church. “

As Scripture so aptly puts it, The Holy Spirit speaks EXPRESSLY and it is by this that we can know that the Churches today are hopelessly lost without the Voice of the Holy Spirit to guide and direct, and encourage us in the promises that we need for each situation we encounter in these trying times. It is through said promises that we can more closely understand what Scripture means when it says “the hand of God was upon…” (see Ezekiel 1:3, Ezekiel 8:1, Ezekiel 13:9).

The Hand Of God In The People Of God

There is a beautiful song at the end of this week’s study that portrays perfectly how, during these “last days,” just like God did with His messengers in the Old Testament such as Ezekiel, that very hand of God will take us directly to those mountains of our personal life and lived experiences, that we might receive a clearer revelation of His character. This is why it is so wrong to separate the MESSAGE from the three angels, (even the first angel is called “another angel.”) into three separate messages, isolated one from the other.

When we do this, we will always take one of the angels and their part of the message out of context, and separate it from ‘the everlasting gospel.” It is NEVER “the everlasting gospel” when we split up this message from the three angels, into three of more different messages. Each time we see churches separate any portion of this astounding message, we can know that they are only giving us a small portion on the revelation of His character. My friends, The Holy Spirit speaks it “EXPRESSLY!” (1 Tim 4:1).

When we gather up the fragments of light, when we appreciate the sure mercies of God, who loves to have us trust Him, then every promise will be fulfilled.

“Your sacrifices mean nothing to me. I am sick of your offerings of rams and choice cattle; I don’t like the blood of bulls or lambs or goats. “Who asked you to bring all this when you come to worship me? Stay out of my temple! Your sacrifices are worthless, and incense is disgusting. I can’t stand the evil you do on your New Moon Festivals or on your Sabbaths and other times of worship. (Isaiah 1:11-13)

The whole earth is to be filled with the glory of God

When we gather up the fragments of light, when we appreciate the sure mercies of God, who loves to have us trust Him, then every promise will be fulfilled. There is hope amongst the fragments. The whole earth is to be filled with the glory of God: the time of test is just upon us, (Rev 3:10), for the loud cry of the three angel’s message, has already begun in the revelation of the righteousness of Christ, the sin-pardoning Redeemer in His people now. “Christ in you; THE hope in glory.” (Col 1:27). This is the beginning of the light of the angel whose glory shall fill the whole earth: (Psalms 77:18, ) In the message from the three angels, Heaven does begin on earth! “Christ in you: it is THE Glory and the revelation of God’s character in today’s world roiling in confusion, isolation and useless dogmas used as clubs. “Christ in You,” the “testing truth.” The “final message.” The “light of the world.”

For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. (Isa 61:11)

“Arise [from spiritual depression to a new life], shine [be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the LORD]; for your light has come, And the glory and brilliance of the LORD has risen upon you.
“For in fact, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness will cover the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you [Jerusalem] And His glory and brilliance will be seen on you.
“Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
“Lift up your eyes around you and see; They all gather TOGETHER, they come to you. Your sons will come from far away, And your daughters will be looked after at their side. (Isa 60:1-4, AMP)-

This is Isaiah’s version of “the loud cry,” and it can also be your version, today.

STOP yelling about “the beast!”

START yelling about JESUS!

Its time for a Holy Shout, and by the hand of God this could be happening now in a neighbourhood near you.
